announces the release of My Safety Pin, software aimed at anyone with a
bad number memory or is unable to remember all their pin numbers no
matter how hard they try.
Soon
Chip and Pin will require people to remember their pin numbers for all
their cards. The burden to remember these numbers will be placed on many
groups of people not just the older members of society. This includes
people who can not remember numbers but are fine with words, people who
lack confidence when approaching the pin machine, people who are so
stressed that it stops them from thinking straight and the worrier who is
afraid of looking foolish in front of a crowd.
My Safety Pin allows people, at their own risk, to
create a table print out of random numbers and within the table place
their pin number. The placement is based on one or two words which only
they know. Now they can approach the card machine with confidence
knowing they can easily decipher their pin number.
My Safety Pin comes with a comprehensive help file and
a handy random button which allows you to keep changing the random
numbers until you are happy with the result. A zoom feature allows you
to reduce the size of the table allowing you to use only part of the
table, very handy if you have poor eyesight or find the table to large.
To ensure inexperienced computer users can use My
Safety Pin, a simple pin wizard takes them through each stage needed to
create the table, word key and to finally print the table.
For Security the users pin number is never saved to
disk. With pin numbers becoming more important by the day we hope My
Safety Pin will help restore people’s confidence to use their cards
again.
